Balkan Travel Hub D.O.O. started in 2018 with one bike, one guide, and a conviction that most tours in Belgrade were designed for people who didn't actually want to understand the city.
We were wrong about the timing — 2020 happened. But the conviction held. When travel returned, we rebuilt: more tours, better guides, and a set of services designed around the way independent travellers actually move.
We're based in Belgrade. Our guides are locals. We know the back roads, the right kafanas, the fastest border crossings, and the monasteries that don't appear on most maps. That's the product.
We're not the biggest operator in Serbia. We're not trying to be. We'd rather do fewer things extraordinarily well than many things adequately.

People Behind the Tours
A small team of locals who live in the places they guide. No outsourced guides, no freelancers we've never met.
Tihomir is an educated young entrepreneur specialized in the Tourism industry. He has a bachelor degree – Finance in Tourism, master in HR and since 2018 he is a licensed tour guide. After college, he had various working experiences abroad, especially in USA and Bahrain but he settled down in his own country seeking an opportunity to create something on his own.
Now he is working as a financial consultant for various companies in tourism-related industry and has one of his own.
All the knowledge gathered throughout years of working and traveling abroad, changing tourism niche from hotels to travel agencies and tour operators he finally decided to implement and to create his own product called Balkan Travel Hub D.O.O.!
Vojin is a passionate specialist in bicycle tourism with over ten years of experience as both an active cyclo-tourist and a professional tour developer. His career path has given him a well-rounded expertise in the travel industry.
He has worked for several respected international tour operators, including companies such as Intrepid and Traveltalk, where he led numerous trips across Eastern Europe, with a particular focus on the Balkans and Serbia. Combined with his hands-on experience as a bike rental operator and manager of a bike tour shop, these roles have sharpened his skills as both an experienced tour leader and a detail-oriented manager. In 2018, he earned his official state tourist guide license.
Vojin's personal passions — restoring vintage road bikes and exploring the region by bicycle — keep him deeply connected to the destinations he knows so well. He has channeled this extensive knowledge and firsthand experience into creating authentic, high-quality cycling adventures through Balkan Travel Hub.
Lazar is the youngest member of the team, having graduated with a bachelor's degree in tourism, specializing in ecotourism and sustainable tourism in general. He is continuing his academic journey in the Master's program in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Geography.
Within our team, Lazar is involved in the organization of tours, communication with clients, and designing new routes. His work also covers managing equipment rentals and route mapping, contributing to the quality and safety of the adventures.
His interest in sustainable tourism and GIS technologies helps in creating authentic and thoughtful Balkan routes.
